O Present Simple (ou Simple Present) é um tempo verbal do inglês que expressa ações habituais, rotineiras, fatos ou situações gerais no presente. Ele é utilizado para falar sobre hábitos, verdades universais, preferências e sentimentos. Também pode ser usado para descrever ações futuras planejadas e eventos programados.

A estrutura básica do Present Simple é simples e envolve o uso do verbo principal no infinitivo sem "to" (ex: to work → work) na forma afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa.

Aqui está uma tabela com a estrutura básica do Present Simple:

Observe que, na terceira pessoa do singular (he, she, it), acrescenta-se um "-s" ao verbo. Na forma negativa, usamos "do not" (ou a contração "don't") com "I", "you", "we" e "they" e "does not" (ou a contração "doesn't") com "he", "she" e "it". Na forma interrogativa, usamos "do" ou "does" antes do sujeito.
